SEO and artificial intelligence

Does content generated with AI affect positioning?

The tool does not replace criteria. Discover what to review so that a text created with the help of AI provides value and responds to a real search.

Is Google going to sink your website because you use artificial intelligence? The question deserves a clear answer: using AI does not imply, by itself, an automatic penalty. But quickly publishing texts that don't help anyone can be expensive. The useful question is what your AI-generated content contributes when someone comes looking for a specific solution.

Before writing, check what pages you have on that topic. You may want to expand on an existing explanation rather than opening another URL. It defines a specific contribution for each article: a comparison, a practical answer or a decision that the reader can make after reading it judiciously.

What Google says about content generated with AI

Google's official guidelines on content generated with AI recognize its usefulness for research and structure original content. They also warn that generating many pages without adding value can violate policies against large-scale content abuse. Producing more is not the same as deserving more visibility.

Usefulness must be demonstrable

A useful article responds to a need, explains its limits and allows us to contrast what is important. If it repeats generalities that appear on any other page, there is no reason to choose it. Add business knowledge, your own verifiable examples or an explanation that makes it easier to make decisions.

The risk is in publishing without editorial criteria

A tool can write safely and make a mistake in a piece of information, a date or a reference. You can also mix concepts or invent experiences. Before posting, verify claims and check that links support what you say. A compelling tone is never a substitute for a reliable source.

Your experience cannot be simulated

If you mention results, clients or your own processes, they must be real and documented. Avoid presenting an imaginary situation as a success story. You can use hypothetical examples, always identified as such, to explain an idea without manufacturing credibility.

How to work on SEO without writing for a machine

To position content created with artificial intelligence, start with search intent. Define what the reader wants to solve and respond promptly. Then develop the details in a clear order. The keyword helps maintain focus; Repeating it forcefully makes reading worse.

A practical review before publishing

  • Check that the title describes the answer that the reader will find.
  • Organize the ideas with H2 and use H3 to develop sections related.
  • Write a specific description, without promising results that the article does not offer.
  • Include relevant images, alternative text and links that provide context.
  • Review authorship, sources and dates when relevant to understand the information.

These decisions make it easier to understand the content and its presentation. They do not guarantee positions. There is also no magic length that makes a text good: it matters that the explanation is sufficient, precise and appropriate to the query.

Use AI to move forward, retain responsibility

A reasonable process can use AI to propose an outline, detect doubts or prepare a first draft. Human review provides knowledge, eliminates errors and decides what deserves to be published. Document that process and explain the use of automation when it helps the reader evaluate how the content was created.

After publishing, see what queries the page attracts and whether the content meets that intent. Updates incomplete explanations and fixes errors. Adding similar articles without reviewing existing ones can disperse the effort and create pages that compete for the same need.

If you want to organize that work better, discover what an agency can contribute to your content strategy. At LabIA we can help you combine editorial criteria and automation. Tell us what you are publishing and let's define what should be reviewed and improved first.
